Fences R UsThe Australian fencing journal

Editorial standards

A fence sits between neighbours, children and livestock. Getting a measurement wrong in print is not a style question. These rules govern how we write.

Independence

Staff pieces are not paid product placement. When a guest post or commercially placed link is accepted, the link carries rel="sponsored" and the pitch is logged. See write for us.

Sources and trademarks

We cite Australian practice in plain English: dividing-fences statutes by state and territory, AS 1926.1 for pool barriers, Dial Before You Dig, and manufacturer warranty language as published. COLORBOND® is a registered trademark of BlueScope Steel Limited. We do not invent section numbers.

Prices

Installed rates are ranges, dated in the piece, and they move with city, access and ground. We never present a dollar figure as a quote.

What this is not

Nothing on this site is legal advice, a building survey, a pool-safety certificate, or an installation manual. If a paragraph and your inspector disagree, the inspector wins.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected in the article and noted on request. Email the desk with the URL, the sentence, and the better source.
